Plot Summary

Morgan has a problem, another witch cursed her with an abstinence hex. Her love life falls apart and even trying to take matters into her own hands ends in failure. Morgan's libido continues to grow as a nasty side-effect of the hex. Desperate times call for desperate measures as the only way to break the curse is to summon an incubus and let it take her. If she doesn't do everything just right, things could end...badly. There are definitely worse ways to go, but she's not ready to go anywhere except the summoning circle.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on September 15, 2019

Morgan is cursed and it’s more than once. A fateful decision brings her to summon Suranel and fine the relief she needs. But an incubus who finds the witch that summoned him interesting might be a curse on its own or a gift without end.

The work is an erotic hot flash with a modern edge mixed into a bit of fantasy and magic which works well to tell the story. The characters have depth, they are delightfully complicated and the frustration of the main character just leads to so many surprises.

Once the main characters come together, the erotica has lovely heat, their passion and need felt really well told too. At the same time, there’s the underpinnings of the series to come being created and that adds to the mystery and it was fun to see.

Suranel. the incubus of the work, isn’t stereotypical, though there is a shade of darkness around them. Very dominant ,he isn’t over the top, there is a bit of seductive passion mixed into the power which rolls off him throughout the story. A bit of amusement, a little bit of attraction and while there are hints of his power and true form, it’s more to add colour to his character and that was interesting.

Three and a half out of five pitchforks.

The work closes in a way that leaves a lot of paths open and I do wonder how the series will continue. Suranel has an edge to him, but somehow that doesn’t feel evil, just very dark and very commanding. Perhaps the next work will expand on why this is and what happens as a result.
