Plot Summary
After a new rule was passed by the King, succubi were no longer permitted to go out into the real world to feed on humans. I, Scarlett Sinclair, a budding succubus, felt offended by this and escaped from the deepest parts of Hell, finding myself in the land of the living.
In order to survive, I must feed on the sexual energy of humans. To do that, I have techniques that help me learn about a person’s kinks, insecurities, and secrets, which will aid me in squeezing out every last drop of sexual energy from my victims.
For now, I’ve disguised myself as a therapist. Victims will come to me for help, and behind closed doors, I’ll be milking them for all their worth. My first client is Josh Brooks, who’s a sex addict. Sadly for him, our sessions will only get him addicted to me instead. Let’s see how long he can stay faithful to his wife while he’s drooling over me during our sessions and constantly fantasizing about me when he’s somewhere else.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on July 8, 2025
Scarlett has a dream, to be a succubus with all the fun and sex she can find on Earth, but there’s a problem. Hell has new ideas for succubi and she wants nothing to do with that, mostly because it sounds boring… and that’s just the start. Escaping to Earth, she finds a place for herself as a sexy therapist, to help others with sex problems, which is perfect for a succubus like her. But is it the sex alone or is it something more that will make Scarlett learn about herself as well?
The work is a sex filled erotic story of a succubus entangled with her job, delighting in the passion and power she gains, and all it promises for her. But it also, beside the sex, has moments of the main character thinking about the others in the room, what she is doing, and, most of all, the connection she makes with them.
It’s very much a character development story about a succubus, and that’s really well done. Scarlett seems a bit unlikeable at first, but as the story, and she, changes, there’s a point where the sex is wonderful, the power she gains is amazing, and there’s a sense of morality, or at least thinking about her patients and that it matters she helps them to help herself.
Scarlett is very much a succubus, she has the sex drive, the powers, mind control or otherwise, and all else that comes with her being a succubus. Save there are no horns or tail appearing, but perhaps that will happen in a later part of the series.
The one thing in the story that nibbled on me is what happened back in Hell to send her on this quest. It’s skimmed over, a bit too quick for me to the honest. I would have liked to have seen the succubi there, the position they were in, how it affected Scarlett and then, finally, follow her escape. It felt like a good deal of story was cast aside and I wish it hadn’t been.
Three out of five pitchforks.
The story turned out to be quite a lot more than I expected from when Scarlett was introduced at the beginning. That really was a pleasant surprise and if that continues through the series, this could turn into something I’ll really adore. The ending is a bit odd, but then Scarlett is a bit that as well. Hopefully the next book in the series will continue the promise of the first.
