Plot Summary
Mhyrsha and her growing harem of pets have made their way to the elven land of Bikar, on their way to Crystalshield in her guise as Alis Pureheart, a Baroness playing adventurer. But while the troubles in Dascora are behind her, not everything is at peace in Bikar. Werewolves stalk the forests, raiding merchant caravans, and the Theocracy of Eclana is always causing trouble.
Of course, that is not the only wrinkle in her plans. After all, the fall of the Goblin Hero gave rise to another. What will come when the Roaming Boss meets this Hero?
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on June 9, 2026
Mhyrsha’s battles continue and things just keep getting more complicated. It’s not enough to be making a name for herself, now she needs to be more. But along the way, sometimes doing the right thing is more important than the power you might be offered.
The work follows on from the prior work in the series, Mhyrsha being the focus here as she travels onwards, gaining more power as the story develops and the trouble around her brews. Much of that story was interesting, at least until the stats started appearing and I started skipping pages.
The focus on stats remains a real problem as almost one-half of the pages are dedicated to noting all of them that Mhyrsha has. I understand it, that is how LitRPG is, but at what point are there enough power collected and character development can get a chance to make the story and the characters more interesting and have more depth than just thinking about the stats they are gaining or fighting against.
Mhyrsha actually uses one of her succubus aspects, but that’s in a battle and it’s her claws. She being a succubus seems to mean very little to the story and doesn’t come into play. She has a lot more aspects now, she is developing as a character, but at the same time it would be nice to fall back on her succubus nature and see where that takes her because that is a huge missing part of her story.
Two and a half out of five pitchforks.
There is, just barely, a reference to Mhyrsha’s succubus nature, but honestly that is wearing a bit thin. Beyond that, the way the stats are becoming so invasive in the storytelling just doesn’t work for me. It’s honestly a shame because there is a good story here, but the stats and going over them constantly just doesn’t work.
