Plot Summary

Cassie has discovered that Paulo is a sex predator for the Incubi in her Nightmare. He admits to seducing her and her girlfriends. He regrets none of it because he is a human incubus – except what he has done to hurt her. For her to be safe, he will gladly do anything.

But whether a man, a hybrid, or demon spawn, he can’t bear her hate. For the first time in his immortal life he tells a human all despite fearing her judgment and the Incubi’s fury. And Cassie’s hatred can’t stay strong, whether she is under his spell, or is bound by true love.

Paulo endangers all for her and when the Nightmare comes again, it takes them both. But only Cassie returns. Every night, her torture is worsened by hearing his screams through the Darkness, tearing her apart.

It may prove to be the last thing to make her surrender to the Incubi. But can giving yourself in the place of the one you love be only a fool’s love to end in pain? Or will it be a truly worthwhile sacrifice?
