Plot Summary

Persuaded by his reckless best friend, Christopher finds himself at The Velvet Inferno—an exclusive nightclub hidden underneath the luxurious Veilbourne Estate, where they expect a night of unadulterated hedonism. Residing there are Succubae and vampires, irresistible creatures who wield their intoxicating beauty and supernatural allure to trap unsuspecting humans. They seduce them with promises of pleasures beyond their wildest imaginations.

These interspecies establishments are shrouded in secrecy, yet rumours persist—humans vanish without a trace, their bodies never found. As the night unfolds, a demonic feeding chamber lies in wait, concealed beneath the club. Christopher unwittingly becomes ensnared in it—trapped and helpless. He is forced to endure a night of wild, uncontrollable orgasms as his essence is ravenously drained by insatiable demonesses, using him for their pleasure.

He grows weaker with each passing hour, powerless against their relentless hunger. And if he doesn’t escape before 3:00 AM, he risks losing his soul. An erotic supernatural thriller, The Velvet Inferno explores what happens when first-year students seek forbidden pleasures—only to discover it may be the last night of their lives.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on December 12, 2025

Sometimes your friends are not exactly your friends. To put oneself in danger seems rather foolish and for Christopher, when he discovers the truth, it’s far too late. Time is running short and his future seems grim even in the pleasures that have trapped him.

The work is a horror erotica short story with the main character being teased into becoming the plaything of succubi and other creatures with one thing on their minds and one purpose. The story moves quite quickly to go from the first tease to the last scene where what the beginning hinted at comes to be true. There is a tone to the writing which brings a feeling of everything being off, out of sorts and a little uneasy as well. That carries on, becoming more and more forceful until the page turns and the true implications of the main characters choices are revealed.

While there are scenes of erotica, they are somewhat muted at times by the undercurrent of darkness and evil that exists in the setting. Some of the succubi erotica was quite well done, but then the tone of the story takes some of that away to add to the foreboding.

The succubi of the work, especially Lilith, are just on the edge of being evil for the sake of being so. Their personalities are interesting, they are very much succubi in form and more. But they are, much like the main character, carried along with the story, it shaping them towards being simply aspects of the darkness which surrounds them all. I really would have liked for the story to explore them, tell more about them than just what the mood and tone of their playrooms are. They seem detached, almost aloof and it bothered me a bit they weren’t more the seductresses they were on the verge of being more.

Three out of five pitchforks.

More of a horror themed work with a bit of an appearance of succubi around the edges to carry things along. Overall, while the story was interesting to a point there were moments that felt too forced and pushed the story towards the end pages with really little finesse. Something about the characters who directed the main character to his doom just rubbed me the wrong way and I’m not sure why exactly.
