Rebecca Lionheart is a gorgeous succubus who has an appetite for men’s souls. She performed a ritual that allows her to be a beautiful woman all time but souls are required to keep the spell working. Once she consumes a man’s soul it doesn’t exist anymore and that has angered a witch. Big Bad Witch is back and was working on a ritual that could bless her with eternal youth to go with her eternal life. When she started it the ritual picked two high school students named Tommy and Timmy for the sacrifice but before she could get them they became victims to Rebecca. That canceled the ritual and unfortunately Big Bad Witch cannot try again until a hundred years pass. When Big Bad Witch learns who killed the two she needed the witch wait’s for an opportunity for revenge. Luckily Rebecca gets saved by a guy named Matt and when Big Bad Witch sees Rebecca leave Matt a letter that if he’s ever in danger she’ll save him to return the favor the witch has her goons capture Matt and uses him as bait to lure Rebecca into a trap.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on May 18, 2018
It’s one thing to be a succubus, it’s another to be a succubus and have a witch rather miffed at you. Anything can happen, and probably will if one is not careful and even it you are, that doesn’t mean that things won’t go really bad, really fast.
The work is a fantasy themed adventure with a bit of erotica around the edges and a supernatural tone overall. It’s a bit lost in the writing, the characters and events are trapped behind the storytelling itself, which is very clunky and unsure of itself. Th story touches on a lot of different themes and ideas, but never really gets to explore them as well as they really needed to be.
Rebecca, the succubus of the story, isn’t quite evil, but she is very self-centred at times overall. A bit unlikeable as well, she’s antagonizing and her thoughts are just odd. She is a succubus, there’s no question of that, but her personality and direction change so many times over the course of the story that it feels like she’s distracted all of the time.
Two and a half out of five pitchforks.
The work really needs a few more editing passes, there are so many odd and incompletely written sentences that it’s distracting. The dialogue is very odd as well, needing to be cleaned up and given the emotion that’s missing. The story is interesting, but so very jumbled up and lost that it loses itself too often and I wish that it did not.
