Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on January 20, 2026
Caelum’s honour as a knight has brought him to many challenges, but the greatest of all is being taken to the realm of the succubus Lilith to confront her. But temptation is a powerful thing, it can make anything happen, and for them both the climax is more than either really expected.
The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, erotic hot flash set in a fantasy adventure encounter. Overall the story is a bit rushed and really that is a shame because both characters are interesting, the heat is lovely and overall it’s quite nice. But it is short and so there’s very little character history told save in passing and I wanted to have more of that.
Lilith, the succubus of the story, isn’t so much evil as she is a seductress playing on passion and desire which adds so much to her. There’s a teasing surety in her voice and I really loved that aspect of her. It’s that temptation brought to the fore that gives her something more and creates a succubus character that I didn’t expect at the beginning.
Three and a half out of five pitchforks.
The work ends in a way that offers a lot of possibilities and that is the real problem here. The writing is very good, the story is interesting, the heat is a delight. But it is so, so short a tale that this is more of a summary really of what could have been created in the form of a full length novel about these characters and it really should have been.
