Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on November 15, 2019

The work is a collection of stories set in a universe of crime, darkness and a bit of supernatural tones. Quite fast paced, the stories move at a breakneck speed leaves little time for reflection or a great deal of character development. While there are hints of some erotic heat, the story really isn’t about that, the darkness of the story and characters overcomes that by far.

Elda, the succubus of the work, is a bit too close to being stereotypical and it’s a shame. She has a seductive aspect, but as the story is told and she appears, she becomes more horror than erotica and somehow that took her from being interesting to being expected.

Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

This is very much a story with a succubus as one of the characters rather than story about the succubus herself. Far more crime and mystery than erotica, the succubus is window dressing to the story and it’s a shame she wasn’t used beyond what she was here.
