Plot Summary
A hot new woman moved in downstairs, and the non-stop sounds of sex were so distracting that I had to go investigate and ask her to stop. But what I discovered was a carnival of sexual delight, and damnation. My new neighbor was a trickster demon and I wasn't the first to fall under her spell. Will I be the last? And will I rescue the mysterious young woman trapped in her surreal sex-dungeon?
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on November 15, 2020
A new neighbour brings temptation and damnation from which one will never escape. A fate awaiting without end for those that cannot resist.
The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, horror erotic hot flash which tends towards the horror aspects with the erotic as a means to ensnare the main character.
The work is told quickly, there is very little time for expanding on the characters, the mythos, or really anything else beyond the almost constant reminder that someone is having sex and the main character is drawn to see what is happening.
The succubus of the work, who is never named, or really can be truly said to be a succubus beyond the sex, is rather one-dimensional. She tempts, draws in the main character and then sort of turns into something that is less a succubus than a curse. She’s a bit glossed over, there is very little dialogue from her or story to tell other than her being sexual and I would have liked more temptation before the fall honestly.
Two and a half out of five pitchforks.
The work closes in a very dark place, but with how the story unfolded, that really wasn’t a surprise. Overall some of the erotic aspects were interesting, but there’s really no story beyond the erotica and the impeding horror that comes calling.
