Plot Summary
Being the descendant of the infamous Riaka Rienn is enough to make any young lady approach life with a suit of armor, but Vivianna Howard, Duchess of Orvyne, also has to live with being the daughter of a disgraced incubus who let his power destroy his life. She does everything she can to avoid becoming either of the two people whose fates set the course for her own, until Warwick St. James, Duke of Leyon, takes an interest in her. War is a complication Vivi does not want, but he is a temptation she cannot help sampling.
Warwick devoted his life to pleasure, with an ounce of duty tossed in every five years or so, and to him, Vivianna is mystery. Outside of the bed, she seems to have no need of anything he has to offer, her own wealth and rank equal to his, but War must have her or run mad.
