Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on November 3, 2020
It’s just a game, at least that what David thinks at first. But Alexis has other ideas, plots and plans and she will have him. The hunger if a succubus us forever after all.
The work is a LitRPG themed story of erotica and adventure which focuses on the main character and the succubus he encounters. It is very much a story of succubus mind control, manipulation, seduction and plotting and I loved those aspects dearly. What made this that much more enjoyable is how little the stats of the characters came into play. They were short notes, not getting in the way of the story and I really liked that.
The erotica, of course, is entirely focused on Alexis, the succubus of the story. She is every bit the mischievous, naughty scheming succubus she needed to be. She is just a delight from the tone of her dialogue through the effects she has. The mind control aspects are richly told and I delighted in every scene she appeared in. She is evil with a purpose, anything but stereotypical and I couldn’t help but smile every time she appeared.
Three and a half out of five pitchforks.
the work closes in a place that really needed a follow on story to continue with. Overall the story is a lot of succubus fun and delight, Alexis is quite a lot of fun and naughtiness as well. What I liked more is that the stats were skimmed over for the most part, that helped a lot to enjoy the story and made it better still.
