Plot Summary
Elven herbalist Vanya has a crush on the nearby tower’s resident blood mage, but she doesn’t know about his dark secret. She finds out the hard way when she spends the night with Magister Jorius and discovers that it’s a demon pact that feeds his forbidden power...and his desires.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on August 18, 2019
Vanya makes a deal and finds herself with Jorius, becoming entangled with him. But there are questions unanswered and they may well be very important ones.
The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, fantasy adventure with a bit of erotica around the edges. It’s very much focused on setting up the story universe and the characters, which leaves the erotica to the latter part of the story.
While there is no sign of a succubus in this work, there is the hint of one, a suggestion of them, but nothing more. With that said, the erotic nature of this part of the story makes it clear there will be a succubus, it’s just a question of what she is like.
Two and a half out of five pitchforks.
This is really not a succubus story, at least in the first part at least. The next work does have a succubus appear, but without reading this part quite a lot of story and character is missing. The entire series really should have been released as a single work, but this is how things are.
