Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on May 29, 2018

In this collection, the work Sensual Legacy tells about discovery, passion, and a need which draws the main characters Sophie and Blayke together, becoming entangled, and the reveal of their secrets to each other.

A short hot flash, the heat builds quickly from the start, the main characters need drawing them into a climax that is nothing like they have experienced before and reveals a secret about Blayke who then explains to Sophie about her own secret. It’s passionate and a delight, if so very rushed in the storytelling. There’s a feeling that this was a story taken from a work that never was completed, in a way, and if so, that is a shame.

With Blayke being an incubus and Sophie being revealed as a succubus, they being mates, there is really very little told about what it means for them to be succubus and incubus. That part is skimmed over, not explored really, and it’s something of a question left behind in the story when it comes to a close.

Three and a half out of five pitchforks.

As much as the story is a delight, it’s too short, glosses over the connection between the main characters and is in a rush to get to the climax. It would make for a really interesting novel, the concept is intriguing and seeing where their relationship goes would tell a lot, not to mention Sophie coming into her powers as a succubus and where that might take things.

For the work as a whole, three out of five pitchforks.

The stories are all interesting as are the characters themselves. With that said, there’s so much story untold and unexplored in each that they really all need to be their own novels by themselves.
