Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on September 25, 2018

The work is a collection of quite different succubi and incubi stories that have a bit of erotica around the edges of the stories. The plots and stories read somewhere between fantasy quests and the climax of desires. They aren’t evil, overall, but rather fall somewhere between mischievous temptations and controlling mistresses and masters.

There is also a theme of the characters who encounter the succubi and incubi receiving heir wishes, sometimes that turns back upon itself. It is written a bit oddly, the dialogue is lacking heat, sometimes reads like the words where put through a translator before being committed to the page.

Three out of five pitchforks.

This collection needs another editing pass overall as the tone, grammar and narrative felt like English was not the author’s native language. It’s a bit tone deaf overall, the heat and passion is a bit lacking as well. Still, some of the stories have a kernel within them and might work better as their own stand-alone works.
