Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on August 16, 2019
One must understand succubi in all of their forms to appreciate them when encountered. A curated list of succubi in all their forms with considerations, warnings, and temptations as well.
The work is a mixture of humour and something close to scientific literature, which is a very odd combination by far. It’s not exactly erotica, despite the subject matter, reading more like something one might find in a reference book, if written by a very naughty author.
Many different sorts of succubi are considered, many of them are easily seen in stories, erotica or otherwise. There’s a bit of a description, a little definition of them, and what are called tips to be considered. Some of this is just silly without question, but there are points at which I found myself wondering about the tone and narrative and what could be done with them and what was missing as well.
Three out of five pitchforks.
It is actually a better read than I expected it to be. Too many of such works are copied from Wikipedia or have no unique thoughts within the pages. This work is very much a unique thing with some really well considered ideas and it is very much worth a read. Whether for the humour or the ideas for stories within the pages, there is a lot here by far.
