Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on August 4, 2019

A dream is just a dream until the dreamer sees the dream before them. Then the question becomes what matters more, the dream or the possibility before them.

The work is a past century story of human failings, loss, heartache and, most sad of all, the cruelty contained within the soul of authority with no humanity within them. It’s not erotica by nay means, more of a statement of just how poorly things where in the past and, in a way, a warning as well.

There is, at least in the dream sense, a succubus in this story, but they are a dream, an idea rather than a fact in the real world the story is set in. With that said however, the attitude of others in the story to this character places her in a role that brands her and causes nothing but terrible things throughout.

Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

There’s really very little in a succubus theme as one might expect in this story. The time and place sort of lends itself to something more fanciful, but here it is very much a story of those times, the failings of humanity, and the sadness that claiming to be right brings to those with no morals or empathy.
