Plot Summary
A succubus (Angel) is on the prowl at the Fortunate Fornicators Sex Club and there's a lot on the menu tonight. First she spots her current obsession (Theo) but then they notice someone (Ezra) they haven't seen before. "Tall, dark, and handsome"? Not quite, because this man is so ethereally pale that he's glowing, leaving Angel wondering, what would it be like to take him back to her private room?
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on August 19, 2025
Many things go bump in the night, and Angel usually finds herself in the middle of it all. That’s how things are for succubi, their nature brings out all the hidden desires of those around them. But sometimes not everything is exactly as it seems.
The work is a short hot flash of erotica which focuses on Angel, the main character, her desire Theo and someone new that gains their attention, Ezra. There’s a bit of cat and mouse teasing and temptation before the three become entangled together. There’s a bit of BDSM, it’s a little fetishy at times, and there’s some small hints of Angel’s power as a succubus as well. Overall the story is written to draw the three into each other as quickly as possible and then see what happens.
The heat between the characters simmers, it doesn’t enflame as much as I wanted it to. The BDSM takes over the erotica and there Is really very little in the way of succubus erotica to be found. Angel isn’t evil by any means, she is a creature of sex and seduction which comes out from the first page she appears. With that said, her nature as a succubus really isn’t explored beyond a bit of mind control, or rather domination, and her ability to keep her partners with her. It’s a shame because her personality would be nice to explore, and other than in passing it really wasn’t.
Three out of five pitchforks.
As this is a stand alone story, it’s unlikely that Angel will appear again. But if she does, it might be interesting to see her with an incubus, to see how their powers would clash or combine in the midst of the club. The idea of their powers out of control and what the results would be feels intriguing. A hot little tale, I do wish it has been more because there was a lot of promise waiting to be unleashed in many ways.
