Plot Summary
A Missing Agent. A Haunted House. Two detectives caught in the middle.
It was supposed to be a standard spook & spell, a wizard banishing a ghost. Nothing's ever that easy for Detectives Algiers Stanton and Ophelia Dupre. Called upon to backup a relatively new Society operative, what they discover could change the world as they know it.

Two detectives find themselves dealing with a supernatural problem. But then they are as well, so that shouldn’t be a problem. Probably.
This work, being a graphic novel, places a lot of emphasis into the look and style, which is quite well done. The dialog is a little wooden, sometimes silly, but that can be, I think, attributed to the characters themselves. That said, the story itself is interesting, the creating of the characters, how they deal with each other I liked as it was something quite unexpected for me to read.
The one problem i had with the work was trying to figure out who the incubus-ish character was as he never really showed anything of being so. I think, if I had read the rest of the series, I’d have a better idea of what’s going on and why, but I came into things with this work and so I was, for the most part, lost in what was going on, the references to other characters and the universe overall.
For a story of adventure, mystery and character, this is quite a good work. As a story about succubi or incubi, really it isn’t that much of one. Perhaps there is one elsewhere in the series, but this work doesn’t have that feeling to it.

The art is quite nice, the characters are interesting. I think that if I had read more of the series overall, I would understand a lot more overall about what’s going on, who’s in the work and what all of it means. As for this being about an incubus, well, there is one, but he never really acts like one. Something to ponder I think…
