Plot Summary
I'm actually surprised at the level of interest I'm getting with these dates! Who knew Monster Girls were so into human males? Imagine my surprise when I received a racy picture mail from a succubus! Who would say no to that? Well, maybe someone wiser might but guess I'll just....speed date a Succubus!
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on April 22, 2025
Darling has been delighted with the monster girls he’s met; the experiences are amazing, and he looks forwards to who might appear next. A date with a succubus attracts him and Mirelle is so very attractive and so much more he will discover.
The work is a very cute mixture of anime themes, a bit of erotica, and some gentle domination and submission aspects. It is quite short, which is a shame as there are some interesting thread and character hints along the way that weren’t explored, and I wish they had been. Somewhat more a romantic seduction, the two main characters dance around each other, trying to find the connection and manage that in a lovely way.
The succubus of the work, Mirelle, is very much a seductress in her personality. She is very much a succubus, her tone of voice, physical aspects, and overall teasing is really well done. She’s quite attractive in that, there’s a air about her that draws the main character to her and as things develop it’s something close to a mistress and pet relationship but doesn’t quite go over the edge into something harsh.
The work is a bit scattered in how things begin however, there’s an awkwardness in the story and dialogue that felt odd and bothered me a bit. Even as the characters became more attuned to each other, became connected and the story turned passionate, the dialogue didn’t quite reflect that passion as well as I wanted things to be.
Four out of five pitchforks.
Overall, a lovely read, the characters have depth and I wish that had been explored further. There is a lot about Mirelle which is hinted at, but because of how short the story is, they just aren’t explored. That’s a shame as I wanted to learn more about her. Given that this is a series, and each work stands alone, Mirelle will never return and that Is a shame.
