The artist described the work as showing a representation of the Sumerian myth of the demon Lilitu. According to that myth, she represents chaos, seduction and ungodliness. She is a sexually charged yet infertile succubus who behaves aggressively toward men and children killing them at a whim. In all of her forms, she has cast an evil spell on humankind.

The art was transformed into a vinyl figurine by KidRobot in 2011 that stands approximately eight inches in height. It displays Lilitu in a similar pose to the painting that inspired the work, but without her holding the severed male head of the original work. It was released as a limited edition figurine with a total run of only 200 such figurines and a selling price of $250 US. The figurine was completed sold out long before it was produced.
