In every story there is someone that will be coming to see what is just around the corner. Sometimes they would be better not to have looked and other times there’s no escaping what is waiting for them.
The work is a collection of various stories with a general horror erotic edge to most of them. Several are focused on succubi and in those stories there’s a tendency to have the succubi be quite evil things overall. That can be a bit shaded overall, sometimes their nature is hidden behind a smile and a good word, but with how things develop they always seem to return to a darker nature.
The stories are written in something of a rush, there is a bit of character development here and there, but at the same tune things turns towards a teenage horror aspect and with that comes quite a number of jump scares which sometimes works and sometimes really don’t well.
It’s when a little time is spent to give the succubi a voice, a personality, a past and some kind of meaning besides just sex and taking souls, that they are interesting. But that’s somewhat infrequent due to the story lengths. Perhaps it would be best to say that adding a few more pages per story, slowing things down a bit, and making things a little more seductive and tempting would have added a bit more to the succubi in this collection.

With all of the story ideas, the characters and most of all the succubi stories in this collection, they honestly need to be taken individually and made the core of larger works. There’s so much really good story that is offered here, but honestly doesn’t get to be what it could be and that’s the real shame.
