Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on April 7, 2018

Given the book summary is so very short. a better one might be: Desire and need are like breathing to some, life comes to a close without. A succubus in need of new thralls comes to ensnare others, a wish becomes reality, and for one group, one man becomes irroestiable with the right words.

The work is a really well written anthology of erotica overall. The story being told outside of the erotic passages is captivating and well done by far. The characters have depth, need and desires, to see them brought to flame is quite telling. The erotic aspects have a bit of mind control and hypnosis added in, which delighted me as well.

The succubus of the collection, Lilith, is very much a succubus in power, presence, personality and form. She has a purpose and once souls enter her orbit, their path is set before them and she is very much the Mistress to their desires and needs. She’s not evil exactly, more temptress, mistress and holder of souls, all of which work really well with the stories told about her and those that find themselves ensnared in her traps, plots and plans.

Three and a half out of five pitchforks.

The stories with Lilith were, of course, what I liked the most in the collection. It’s a shame that there wasn’t a closure to them, a final tale to tie things up in a way that made all else before more meaningful. As a collection it was quite interesting with its own kind of passion. But honestly that title just needs a lot of work as it’s just so terrible.
