Plot Summary

I’m a woman on a mission, and my mission is to bang.

I’ve always been a bit of a late bloomer. It’s just my luck that the first time I try anything remotely age appropriate with a guy, I sprout leathery wings and a devilish tail. But now I’m awakened, and I’m ready to take mankind by storm. My boyfriend, my professor, none are off limits to fill my new needs. But not if these two hunky incubi have anything to say about it. They intend to contain my insatiable nature by any means necessary. And if that means sharing me, seeding me, and claiming me as their own? Well, I think they’re up for the challenge.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on October 25, 2022

Rylee has a lot of problems to deal with. First her sister vanishes, then she becomes a succubus and now there’s two incubi that she really doesn’t want to have anything to do with. Or does she? It’s so confusing to be a succubus at times.

The story starts as a transformation story with some really interesting moments but quickly turns towards a reverse harem story that focuses mainly on the incubi having their way with Rylee. While she has her way at times, the incubi are in charge and as such Rylee really doesn’t have a lot to say or do about what’s happening. While the story allows for some telling of why things are happening as they are, it skims over getting into the details for the sake of getting to the erotica.

The erotica itself really doesn’t have the heat I would have liked to see. It’s rather abrupt and short, the incubi having really all ow the control and Rylee just along for the ride. It’s a shame that she didn’t take more control of things, though that’s impossible with how she became a succubus. Still, the erotica prior to the incubi appearing and Rylee dealing with the first signs of being a succubus was I think a far better read and interested me more than what came afterwards.

Rylee is delightful in her personality, her will and how combative she is. Where she really shines is the moments when her nature comes out and her dominance appears. There’s one moment where that’s very clear in mood and tone that made the entire work well worth the read.

The incubi, Abigor and Chamos are a bit flat overall as characters. They are important, the push the story onwards, but they just feel two-dimensional, being really more concerned about sex than much else. That’s a shame because there’s a lot of story that could have been told through them that wasn’t. they aren’t stereotypical, it’s more being single focused that bothered me.

Overall, it’s a good read, if a bit rough on the edges. A bit more passion in the dialogue, a little more life to the story beyond the sex would have added a lot. The transformation aspects are wonderfully told, and that really needed to go further I think. Still, there’s a lot to like nonetheless.

Four out of five pitchforks.

Overall, I really want to know more about this universe. There are so many hints about the world of the succubi and incubi, but it doesn’t go anywhere which bothers me. Yes, there’s some information skimmed over, but really that’s a tease and not a lot more. Perhaps the author really should tie the stories together and get into the how and why of their world. All that said, I do like the combinations of stories and the characters that appear in this series of works. I just really want more than the sex alone. The characters and their stories deserve that. Perhaps a future story will tell that story too.
