Plot Summary

In this book, you are a spirit risen from the depths of hell and the choices you make will determine the outcome of the story. This book is much like the Choose your Own adventure stories you used to read as a child, only a whole lot sexier. Be aware, you choose either to be a Succubus, Incubus or Futa in this book. It has all gender pairings and lots of you know what.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on June 27, 2023

You have a choice to make and that choice has consequences. Be it a succubus, incubus or futa, one thing is certain. The future is what you make yourself to be.

The work is a very short choose your own adventure story with three main branches to explore. While there are both succubus and incubus paths, there’s really very little heat in the story telling of the erotica. The story is told in something of a summary of events, leaving much of the details up to the reader’s imagination.

As the work unfolds, the paths merge, the events are explained from slightly different perspectives and then the next choice needs to be made. The narrative leaves something to be desired as there’s not a lot of emotion, the descriptions lack detail, and perhaps most importantly, what is told in each part of the work feels at times like an afterthought.

The work is far too short and feels like the story is glossed over. There’s actually a lot of interesting ideas to play with and build upon and it’s a shame the author didn’t try to do so. The other missing part is there really needed to be links between the branches of the story as getting to the next part of the story you are following spoils everything passed along the way.

Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

The author really needs to consider this work more deeply, expand on the story, and create the depth and heat that’s waiting to be revealed. There’s a good idea here, one that really could be explored so much better than it is. Perhaps that will come at some point, but this work, while having succubus and incubus aspects, just doesn’t take paths that could have been so much more.
