Plot Summary

Rauri never banked on growing horns…

But when he wakes the demon inside him, he finds himself horned and hungry. He has to get control over his new ravenous appetite, or he’ll risk hurting the people he loves.

In this new world of demons and deals, he’s out of his depth. He has no choice but to put his faith in the hands of the faithless—an ancient demon with purple hair. Yarilo has long since locked his heart in a cage, but one innocent nerdy twinkubus has the key.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on April 11, 2025

Rauri doesn’t understand what has happened, doesn’t understand why he hurts within and without. Suddenly he has horns and feels so hungry all of the time. Given a chance to find help, he enters a bar and meets Yarilo. For Yarilo, the past still haunts him, relationships are just complicated. But a new found incubus might have the key to his heart and in return anything could happen.

The work is a lovely telling of male/male erotica with a very strong undercurrent of a coming of age story as well. There’s a great deal of character development, it’s very emotional and wit that is a reflective nature through much of the storytelling that works really well.

It is a work of erotica, the moments of passion found and desires met between Rauri and Yarilo, the main characters, are just captivating and feel right for them both. It’s not sex for the sake of sex by any means. There’s meaning for them both in each touch, look, and yes, awkward attempts at sorting themselves and each other out.

Neither Rauri or Yarilo are stereotypical, evil or nasty in anyway. The incubus aspects of the story are there, if muted, but they add to Rauri’s personality and character which are decidedly cute by far. More than anything, it’s the need that blossoms between them and how that entangled the pair that worked really well.

Rauri and Yarilo are delightful, the story is wonderful in the emotion and it’s a very unique story. I would have really loved to know a bit more about the universe as a whole and specifically incubi in a deeper sort of way.

Three and a half out of five pitchforks.

Just a wonderfully well told story of need and discovery which offered glimpses of the characters that gave me pause to wonder and consider. I would really like to see a follow on story which delves deeper into their newfound relationship. It would be also nice to explore their incubi aspects more, to have both become more entwined and settled than they are at the close.
