Plot Summary

After losing a bet with his friends while vacationing in New Orleans, Tig is forced to jump over one of the guarded cemetery walls and spend one hour in the dark amongst the dead. He's scared out of his mind. It being the night before Halloween doesn't help his nerves, either. But Tig finds more than he bargained for inside those walls. He's not alone... A group of men gather there for a ceremony of sorts... one that places Tig naked and on his knees before them. Before the night of the dead is over, he'll be claimed, body and soul.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on October 26, 2018

Tig makes a bet and loses, but in doing so he discovers that there is a world he never knew and a need that he couldn’t understand. Sometimes the truth we have within ourselves needs a push to come to the fore. Sometimes that takes an incubus who needs him as well.

The work is a slow burn male/male erotic story with a very strong domination and submission theme that is carried by how the main character is drawn to the incubus of he story. It’s interesting to see how the two characters become wrapped in each other, the effects that both have and why things turn ou the way they do.

Michel, the incubus of the work, has all of the aspects of an incubus, from hints of mind control through the sparks of magic and the ability to draw Tig towards the need they both feel. He is a bit over the top in being a dominant at times, occasionally being that little bit too much a dominant and less a lover, which tends to create conflict in the story.

Three out of five pitchforks.

The work closes in a way that feels right for the main characters and overall makes quite a lot of sense. There is a bit of reality in having to deal with the needs of an incubus however, but that felt like it was resolved in a way that wasn’t off hand and made sense which I thought worked well.
