Plot Summary
"Don't stop, Sir. Once she feels your seed, she'll be yours forever…"
I might be the only guy alive who has had a for-real from-hell succubus replace his wife. Even if I'm not, I'm the only one where it's been an improvement. My old wife was frigid and resentful; my succubus wife Avelyn worships me as her personal god. She's gorgeous as hell (pun very much intended), wants me to be worshiped by other beauties, and wants to gather power and wealth for me so that I live like a king forever.
Except…
Well, she is a demon. So she's pure evil. No morals. No qualms about making hot, dark pacts or strange sacrifices that send innocents to hell just to give the two of us more power. And then there's the whole deal about how hell exists, which means heaven exists, which means angels exist—and apparently they're mad at me for consorting with a demon.
Except, Avelyn's made me irresistible to any beautiful women I desire. And if they touch me, taste me, know me biblically at all…they become my erotic servants.
And the angel who is after me…well, she's a really hot, Amazonian-bodied Valkryie who makes me hard just from thinking about her.
Oh boy.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on July 5, 2024
The thing about having a succubus possess one’s wife isn’t that she’s sexy or irroestiable. The problem is that she does love to plot and there’s no stopping her nature to do so. Avelyn wants something, she will get it, and as for all who get in her way, well, that’s why her husband is there to teach them a lesson or two along the way.
Continuing on from the prior work, the story becomes a bit more complicated, a mythos of heaven and hell is revealed and some rather harsh realities are thrown at the main character. The underlying mystery continues to be teased at, Avelyn’s corruption becomes stronger and her true nature is revealed.
Avelyn’s succubus nature and history is delved into quite a lot and that fascinated me. She isn’t telling the entire story of course, the words are shaded to hide much of the truth. But what is revealed really works well to explain the why and how of her. As foe the complications and impending doom, it adds a bit of flavour to the story which works well.
The erotica mixes the main succubus theme with a bit of mind control and the beginnings of a harem theme as well. The heat simmers throughout, the addition of a new angel character becomes the main focus of the erotica. While the heat is there, and the scenes are well written, there’s a bit of a sense that something similar has been done before by the author in how things unfold. That’s not to say it isn’t a delight by any means.
That said, the undertones which nip at the main character are something different and where that takes the series will be interesting to see. I hope that it isn’t the obvious path that other series by the author have taken, because there’s one possibility that makes me wonder and I hope that happens.
Three and a half out of five pitchforks.
Where this part of the series concludes offers some intriguing paths going forwards. Now, there is obviously a harem theme moving to the fore, but the succubus aspects aren’t being left behind. If anything they are taking over fully and that’s quite delightful. Hopefully the series will manage to turn towards something different in tone and plot, there’s a real opportunity to create something special.
