Plot Summary
Breaking up is hard to do, but breaking up with an unstable supernatural adds a whole new level of complexity.
In a world where humans and otherworldly beings coexist, and dating apps are all the rage, Ivan believes he's found his perfect match in the alluring Aisha. Little does he know, she harbors a dark side—like, blood-sucking kind of dark. When Aisha becomes overly possessive, Ivan wants to call it quits, but how do you break up with someone who has unrevealed supernatural powers?
A scorned woman, Aisha sets out on a no-holds-barred mission to bust up Ivan's budding romance with a sexy succubus by the name of Imani, which culminates in an epic cat fight where even innocent squirrels are caught in the crossfire.
Book Review

Ivan just really wants to have a relationship, but he’s really not had a lot of luck. Perhaps in dating someone supernatural he’ll have a better chance. What’s the worst that could happen is only the start of the mess he finds himself in.
The work is an odd mixture of light horror, comedy and satire that was delightful in the storytelling and characters. A bit lost around the edges, but that’s a reflection of the main character who is trying to find themselves a match and just finds that being something of a train wreck as things unfold. The majority of the work follows Ivan’s thoughts and encounters and how they tend to start out well and then sort of fall into one calamity or another.
Imani, the succubus of the work is really quite unique, and shows off her wings, tail and succubus nature unashamedly. But she’s not the core of the story, more a means for the climax to be created and be part of the mess that results from his ex-girlfriend and her jealous nature. So overall this really isn’t a succubus story, it’s a story with a succubus in it to add something to the overall storytelling.
Three and a half out of five pitchforks.
While there is a bit of body horror and Imani is very much a minor character in the overall story, it’s still a fun, if slightly odd story. The quirky storytelling is very unique and it would be interesting to see more about the characters in other entanglements. Something different, but it’s really not that much of a succubus story all things considered.
