Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on February 19, 2021

The world isn’t like Eric remembered it to be. Awoken by a succubus on a treasure quest, he finds himself drawn into a world unknown, a future in question, and the complications that come from having a succubus as a friend.

The work is, overall, a harem fantasy adventure that’s quite interesting in the mythos it creates, the creatures that exist, and the magic that comes into play. It’s not really erotica overall, there’s little focus on much else save a bit of romantic playfulness here and there.

The succubus of the story, Edris Ellie, is more an adventurer than a succubus by far. Her powers are barely used, there’s very little time spent in telling about that aspect of her character. That’s not to say she isn’t interesting, for she is however. But the story sets aside her succubus nature for the main character’s development and it feels like something was lost in doing so.

Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

It’s a fantasy adventure story with a harem aspect to it and a succubus character who really doesn’t use that aspect of herself. It’s a unique story universe, there’s a good story here, but as for this being a succubus story, it’s so very little so.
