Plot Summary
A desperate wish was her last hope. She never expected it to be answered by him.
Mara is an artist drowning in a sea of blank canvases, her passion extinguished by heartbreak and self-doubt. For six long months, the silence in her studio has been a suffocating weight, a constant reminder of her failure. In a moment of sheer desperation, fueled by cheap wine and loneliness, she sketches the face of a man she’s only seen in her dreams—a dark, dangerous, and impossibly beautiful muse. With a whisper into the darkness, she wishes him real, a plea for anything to make her feel again.
But some wishes have consequences.
When a mysterious and powerful creature named Kael appears in her studio, he is the living embodiment of her drawing, complete with elegant, dark horns and eyes of molten fire. He is an incubus, a demon who feeds on the very creative passion Mara has lost. He offers her a bargain: her art, her inspiration, her fire, in exchange for a taste of her energy. It’s a dangerous dance, but the temptation to create again, to feel alive, is too strong to resist.
Their connection ignites a creative awakening in Mara and a passion that transcends worlds. But Kael is not his own master. He is a slave to a cruel arch-demon, and their forbidden bond has lit a beacon in the darkness, attracting a vengeful evil that threatens to destroy everything. As an ancient war spills into her studio, Mara must decide if she can trust the monster she’s fallen for and become a warrior to fight for his soul
