Plot Summary
Ada Vesli, the demon hunter, was usually the last resort, the one they called on when all else had failed. But with a recent epidemic of demonic possessions taking hold of the city's young women, she's becoming a lot more relevant. And she knows just the incubus who's behind it all. Luxuroth the Indulgent One.
He might be the most infuriating demon she's ever dealt with. And yet, she can't deny his fiendish charms. Perhaps, the insufferable incubus has an ulterior motive in pestering her. Why, if she didn't know better, she'd say he had a soft spot for her.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on October 11, 2019
Sometimes you just can’t get a break, especially when the problem is a demon from Hell that just won’t go away. Ada keeps getting rid of Luxuroth, but he keeps coming back and pestering her. Perhaps there’s more to him than just being an incubus, but that couldn’t be.
The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, erotic hot flash wrapped around a fantasy adventure that focuses on the main character and the incubus that seems to be smitten with her. It’s fun, the story has lovely heat, and there is just enough tease between the characters that makes the story such fun to watch unfold.
Luxuroth, the incubus of the story, isn’t exactly evil, though there are little hints of that in his character. It might be better to say he delights in mischief, of causing all kinds of problems for Ada and it’s really quite a lot of fun when the two of them start getting into an argument. While he has all of the aspects of an incubus, he’s more about sex than taking souls and really that suits the story really well. It’s a shame that he wasn’t really developed as a character more however as I think there is a lot that could have been done beyond the reading and the erotic scenes.
Three and a half out of five pitchforks.
Delightfully amusing and hot, the characters and story all combine into something quite special. It’s a shame the story wasn’t longer or that, perhaps, there would be a little twist in the tale of Ada finding herself in Hell or, even more amusing, becoming a succubus. It’s air interesting thought really at that.
