Plot Summary
I was on the hunt. The monks had prepared me for this. The succubus, a different woman. If I wasn’t careful, her incantation would work. Inside the cave, she was in her lair. And yet, despite all the preparation, when my eyes landed on her, I knew that this would be anything but easy. She made me frightened and willing to claim her at the same time, her whole body something from a distant tale. And she could read my mind too. She knew this could be my first time, and she was willing to do it without protection, our filthy parts touching the most natural way… Once her eyes darkened, I knew there was no stopping her.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on June 23, 2020
A monster awaits in the darkness, a warrior seeks their demise. What does one do when the monster is a succubus and she knows all of your secrets and how to use them against you.
The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, fantasy adventure erotic hot flash between a warrior and a succubus. The story moves very quickly, there’s really not a lot of character development overall as the story moves from the start to the encounter and then the warrior and the succubus becoming entangled. There is a bit of heat in the erotica, but it’s sort of in passing overall. The story is a bit too clinical, the warrior is focused on their goal and there’s really very little that we learn or can tell from the succubus herself.
The succubus, who is never named, is said to be a newly formed succubus in dire need to feed. As such, she is hyper focused on making the warrior have sex with her and taking his soul and life. She could be thought of as being evil, but that’s a bit hard to say really as there’s so little focus on her besides seducing the main character.
Three out of five pitchforks.
The work ends in a way that is both expected and so dearly disappointing. It was to be expected, which is a shame really, but then this was more of a dungeon adventure and the succubus character could have been switched with almost any other female monster and things would have turned out the same.
