Plot Summary
Thirty days to make a man fall in love with you via a dating site? Banned from using her demon charms? The stakes were high for succubus, May Frost. It seems she may have bitten off more than she could chew when she made a deal with the devil. If she wins, she becomes human. If she loses? Well, that isn't something she wants to think about. But falling in love was never part of the deal, was it?
Alex Stone has a job to do – find the girl, get the money and move on. But the moment he "meets" May online, he's overwhelmingly attracted to her, and despite his guilt at the lie he has to keep, he just can't keep his mind off of the sexy little temptress. Although his instincts are telling him that all is not what it seems with her, he's pretty sure it's too late to stop from losing his heart.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on September 20, 2020
May wants out of hell and the deal she’s made seems almost impossible. For Alex, it was supposed to be a job, nothing more. But when souls meant for each other cross paths, anything can happen. If one has the faith ro believe in themselves and what their heart is telling them.
The work is a wonderfully told story of passion, love, romance and how keeping secrets lead to unexpected things. The erotica has lovely heat, the main characters are full of personality and depth. The story has that little edge of humour that romances need to work well too. It’s a fun story at times, a bit sarcastic as well, but the moments that are heart-breaking are telling. The joys of love unbridled even more so.
The work building carries throughout, but it adds that little bit of depth and understanding needed to make the main plot come together well. I enjoyed the hints of light and dark, the deals made, the whispers of plans hidden for the sake of what might be.
May, the succubus of the story, is adorable, cute, and so dearly lost having to deal with Alex without her powers as a succubus. Even so, there are hints of her nature that appear from time to time, her mindset comes through often and when she and Alex become entangled, it is just a delight. Succubi are all about passion and May being captured by her passions for Alex just makes the conflict and resolution that much sweeter.
Four out of five pitchforks.
The story closes in a way that is satisfying and works to tie up the loose ends. It’s a well told, fully realized story of passion, love and faith that just delighted me to no end.
