Plot Summary
Nick has a good job on the security team of Lost Cove, a good friend in Pan the incubus, and plenty of partners to choose from. And that’s enough. Or so he tells himself. But when Lola and Janelle saunter into town for a weekend getaway, long-buried desires boil to the surface.
The dryads had been his lovers once, but that was forty years and a betrayal ago in Paris. When armed guards determined to return Janelle to her rightful place in the Tronçais Forest appeared at the dryads’ meeting place instead of the gargoyle they’d planned to run away with, the women fled France but never forgot Nick’s treachery.
Now they’re back in his life—or at least his town—and Nick has a chance to heal old wounds. It’s not long, however, until he wants more than forgiveness and a little make-up sex. Will Nick be able to open the hearts of the women who’ve hated him for four decades? And will their forgiveness fulfill his desires or break his heart once again?
