Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on August 8, 2025
There are mysteries which lead to unexpected places. Those you meet might be exactly what they seem, or they hide something far more sinister. When you play games with the devil, or a succubus for that matter, anything can happen.
The work is told from a first person perspective throughout which evolves through the choices offered to the reader at pivotal points. It’s a rather complex story, there are a lot of different branches and paths to take, some more erotic than others. At the same time there’s an interesting mystery to unravel, a succubus who gets underfoot, and does other things, which are quite a lot of fun as the story develops. The endings are as varied and they make for some delightful twists and turns.
Jezebel, the succubus of the work, varies in her personality depending on the paths taken, but whichever happen to be, she’s quite a seductress and schemer, which is a lot of fun on its own.
Three out of five pitchforks.
I really don’t enjoy choose your own adventure style books very often, though this was more interesting because of the mythos and the characters in the story. I do think that it would be interesting to have these characters appear in a novel of their own and build upon what’s here. I think that would be interesting.
