Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on November 30, 2025

There has to be something better for Stacy than being a sex toy in porn. A decision made, she enters a convent looking for that something. The problem is that something seems to have found her instead.

The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, erotic hot flash with middling heat that drifts between a bit of storytelling and short bursts of erotica before repeating itself. There is some plot being constructed, there are characters introduced and, eventually, a succubus sort of makes an appearance.

The succubus of the work exists for a page at most, mostly to be a temptation to push the main character Stacy over the edge and back into her old ways. But otherwise the succubus says nothing, isn’t really described except in passing and disappears back into the dream she appeared in. Hopefully the succubus will be more as the series goes on, giving her a name would be a good start at least.

The work could use another editing as the dialogue is odd. The narrative is clunky as well. It reads as very short and clipped in the storytelling as well. Further, the erotica has no real heat, it’s barely adult movie levels of erotica and while there seems to be a purpose for that, it’s just not interesting and takes away from what otherwise could have been a lot more character development.

Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

There is a fair bit of setting up the main character and putting the pieces together, but at this point the story is fleetingly a succubus one, even if one sort of appeared. With that said, I can see a number of paths for the story to take, some of them could be really quite interesting if they are. We’ll see what the next work in the series will bring and if it’s actually become a succubus story fully or not.
