Plot Summary
Traum has spent his entire existence feeding from others dreams. As an incubus, he’s damned to only experience pleasure and intimacy at the hands of the humans whose dreams he visits .
But the Underworld is changing, and when Traum ends up in the dreams of a human woman who he can inexplicably touch, everything inside of him claims her as his.
Bailey believed that packing up her entire life to move to a remote town in Kansas might give her the second chance she’s always looked for. But everything changes the night an incubus appears in her home, telling her that she's his soul mate.
What will they risk to be together and find out exactly what it means to be a demon’s mate?
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on October 24, 2025
Traum’s world falls between the dreams he can share and the physical want that cannot be. But with a single word, all that changes and he meets Bailey. The attraction is instant, the desires build and their truth soon comes to them both. A dream shared can become forever when soulmates become as one.
The work is a wonderfully written romance story with a theme of succubi and incubi as well as the main characters coming to be entwined and finding their way with each other. While there are erotic moments throughout, it’s not just focused on sex alone. It’s the passions of the characters, the love shared, and that comes from all of them, not just the main characters alone.
Traum, the main incubus character is but one part of his larger family of succubi and incubi and their society as a whole. They are, and this I especially adored, not evil, for they all desire love and passion, seeking the pleasures needed to make their world more than it is and bring a future for their kind.
The writing is exceptionally good, the characters all have their voice and personality that comes through really well. All of the succubi and incubi are wonderful, though their grandmother just caught me the most and I just adore her to no end.
Four and a half out of five pitchforks.
I just adored all of the characters, their society, especially the grandmother most of all. It’s so very much a romance, but there’s so much world building as well that every page was a treat to see what came next. The work ends on a note that leads towards a follow on story and I do hope that appears sometime. I will be looking forward to that with so much delight.
