Plot Summary

Cara has certain erotic fantasies and being a witch, she could, if she wanted to, make them real. A decision to call a succubus to fulfill those needs opens Cara to submitting to her desires and the succubus as well.
The work is a short hot flash piece of erotica which mainly focuses on Cara’s need to fulfill her fantasy and how the succubus she summons does so. There’s a clear need within Cara to submit to the succubus long before she appears and the story leading to that moment is well told and interesting.
The succubus of the work, who is never named, seems to be very aloof in her poise and attitude, there’s not really a lot of heat in her action or words overall. She is dominant, there’s no question about that, but there’s little emotion, really nothing that drives the story with heat and purpose for the erotica. That’s a shame because her shifting of physical form I thought worked really well and turned the story towards the heat it needed, but just didn’t quite get there.
The story is well written, Cara and the succubus aren’t two dimensional and there’s something good in the work overall. It’s the lack of heat, the monotone emotions of the succubus and, for the most part, the oddities in the BDSM scenes that gave me pause and I think made the story lose its way.

The work needs more heat and more emotion. That really is the missing part. The story is interesting, the characters offer a lot, but it just doesn’t quite get as far as it could have both emotionally and in the character development. Perhaps a follow on work might draw Cara into the realm of the succubus and push the relationship, and needs, far further.
