Plot Summary
Babet's thrilled when her dad, the guardian of the pits, gets to join her for her mother's three-hundredth, surprise birthday party in River City. The festivities are going strong when a thud hits the gate of her mother's privacy fence. When Prosper pulls the gate wide, a body slumps at his feet—the incubus who watches over the demon Xamian's pit. Xamian has escaped and come to River City to torment her father. He vows to kill each witch in Babet's mother's coven, starting with the weakest and working to the strongest. The supernaturals of River City join forces to battle him, but discover that Xamian is as devious as he is strong.
