Plot Summary
The mud-show travels beneath the moon’s deception. Exposing twin mirrors and a wolf’s reflection. He is a demon in submission. She is Destiny’s Choice for the human condition.
Ireland -1810. Traveling in a mud show wagon, reluctant orphan leader, Rhoswyn Casey leads a band of misfit performers, while on the run for a murder she didn’t commit. She craves family and a life free of the road, but people tend to die when she is near. In part, because she has a secret protector, an incubus, who is on a quest of his own - to be human. When she meets a young man afflicted with the curse of luna, one she’s inexplicably and supernaturally drawn to, a war erupts between him and her incubus.
If that isn’t enough, the Jinn of Demiurge, a demon who possessed the body of Lycaon Madori, a cannibalistic king who was cursed by an angel, reveals Rhoswyn lineage as destiny’s chosen, an Deamhan oiche Bhan - the white night demon, the only female werewolf born in the world. The Jinn seeks her body and aims to destroy those close to her. It is a blue jewel that links her past to her future, as they navigate the present, leaving Rhoswyn with a hard decision. To banish the Jinn of Demiurge, she must choose: Betray the ones she loves or protect the ones who love her.
