Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on April 19, 2020

Getting ahead is a real struggle for Amelia, the fact there are sex demons all around her is part of the problem. But she has to pass a test and Vanity is one succubus that will see to it that isn’t going to be easy.

The work is a cute succubus erotica tale set in an office with all of the tender mercies of office politics getting in the way of everyone. Mainly focused on the main character having to deal with a test administered by a succubus, it is a story of domination which simmers with heat to the close.

Vanity, the succubus of the work, is somewhere between an evil mistress and corporate controller. She’s not exactly evil but she does love her work and it’s very clear that her succubus powers and nature are intent on Amelia. Still, there is really very little told about her, or the succubi and incubi in this world, other than they are just part of things and I would have liked to know more.

Three out of five pitchforks.

Given the singular focus of the story, it surprised me with how what really is just a long form sexual encounter with a succubus remained as interesting as it was. The work ends in a place that feels a bit lost and disappointing for Amelia, but it also allows for another story to be told which would be interesting too.
