Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on September 16, 2018
Elizbeth decided that her ex wasn’t worthy of her and seeks out something better. For Ayden, need and want bring desire and all that an incubus could wish for.
The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, erotic hot flash that mainly draws the characters together and then cracks the door open slightly to the world of passion and sexuality that succubi and incubi live for. It’s a bit rushed at times, there are points at which the names of characters hint at who, and what they are. There’s an undercurrent of setting pieces into place but not give away too much.
Ayden. the main incubus character, is something of a mystery overall. The hints are there, his need and powers are very clearly told. But at the same time, he is a tease of what will be. With that said, he opens the story and erotica towards scenes that are very much over the top and perhaps a bit too much so. with that said, he is a guide to giving Elizbeth what she craves and, possibly, tease who she really is.
Two and a half out of five pitchforks.
The story closed in a place which should have led into the next book in the series, but that didn’t appear. It’s a shame really because while the overall erotica is a bit over the top, the little bits of the impeding appearance of a succubi and incubi society I think would have been dearly interesting.
