Plot Summary

Something is different about this witch.

Cain has been summoned to satisfy the whims of a powerful witch - a rather normal occurrence and natural consequence of being an incubus. After a night of reckless passion, he realizes that he’s unable to open a portal back to the ethereal realm, leaving him stuck on the mortal plane, bound in service to the most peculiar, Isla. Together, they must find a way to get him home. Solving this problem proves difficult when something otherworldly stirs within Isla and, for some reason, they discover that they can’t seem to keep their hands off one another.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on October 2, 2020

Cain is summoned for a night of passion with the witch Isla, but when it is time to leave, he can’t. There is something wrong and it seems to be Isla herself. The impossible is true. She is a succcubus ad that changes everything.

The work is a wonderfully told hot flash erotic work with strongly written characters, a mystery to unfold, and it is really quite well done. The heat in the erotica is lovely, it meshes with the story and plot well and the two play off each other wonderfully. The story itself, and the main characters, build the suspense and the need for answers, and each other is quite telling too.

Cain, the incubus of the work, really isn’t evil, he is more focused on the delights of sex and passion than anteing else and as such he plays to those strengths as the story is told. His powers are more revolving around sex, and it makes him a somewhat different sort of incubus.

As for Isla, she begins as a witch, but there is an oddity about her which quickly comes to the fore. Eventually when they put the pieces together, her succubus nature is veery obvious and her need for sex, the craving, is overpowering. But at the same time she is tied to Cain in an intimate and loving way that just worked really well for the two of them.

Three and a half out of five pitchforks.

The story closes in a place that would naturally lead towards the next book in the series if that was the author’s intention. But that never came so it is something of an open question. With that said, the story has heat, the characters are delightful together and the story itself makes the erotica so much more delicious than it could have been otherwise.
