Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on July 7, 2020

The book blurb leaves a lot to be desired. Overall, this is a collection of mind control and hypnosis fetish stories over a large group of themes and situations. The story of the same title as the collection tells of: A mistake made brings Elizabeth into the presence of Susan and a new life as a succubus. But nothing is simple as a succubus and the need is for always and the adventure never comes to a close.

The story carries the telling of Elizabeth becoming a succubus, the events that she becomes involved in, and how her life and times unfold before her. It’s very much an erotic story, the succubus aspects are quite clear as are a few points at which the mind control aspects come into play.

Elizabeth isn’t evil, she’s more a lost soul learning her way and over time becomes enamoured with being a succubus. There are some point where she redeems herself that I thought added a lot to her character and story. She is, so very much, focused on sex and her needs, but even so that doesn’t overcome the goodness in her and that does make a difference as well.

Four out of five pitchforks.

It’s much more of a story than I had expected, and honestly it’s really a very good read save for some moments were the narrative feels odd.

For the work as a whole, three and a half out of five pitchforks.

The stories are really so very interesting, the mind control aspects I thought were really well done. The characters themselves are as well and overall it is an engrossing read by far.
