Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on May 5, 2019
Cherry and Bubblegum are succubi sisters who have a problem, or two, or three, or maybe a lot more than that. When Bubblegum gets caught in a trap, Cherry has to save her sister’s tail. The thing is, the real story isn’t anything like Cherry expected it to be.
The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, mystery adventure that circles around the main character and her sister who are succubi. A bit dark in tone here and there, it’s also so very odd and silly at many points along the way. There is a bit of erotica around the edges, but it’s there to add a bit of depth to the main character and her sister than anything else.
Cherry and Bubblegum, the succubi of the story, are so very different from each other and yet so very much the same. There’s no question they are both succubi, they both claim souls and they have their horns, wings and tails too. IT’s a bit different in that they grant wishes to those they intend to take souls from and it’s that little uniqueness that adds an interesting twist into the story.
Three and a half out of five pitchforks.
An odd and quirky story which I thought was really well done. The ending is a bit off putting, not everything can be perfect of course, but at the same time the connection between Cherry and Bubblegum was something really exceptional by far. I really would like to see a novel length story about these two succubi, their characters are just that interesting to me.
