Plot Summary
Life is a living hell for Chloe. At the age of eighteen she’s already past 260 pounds and has heard it all yelled after her: fat cow, ugly pig, slut, weirdo and sicko. Her mother is long gone and she’s living with her abusive and tyrannical father.
Chloe has only two ways to escape from the miseries of life and one is her cosplay interest. She’s a member of a cosplay club and her cosplay friends are the only ones that accept her for who she is. They don’t care that she’s fat and unpopular, they respect her for her skills and idéas.
Her other great escape is her yoga. She had started doing yoga in the park just to get away from home and to get into better shape. With her yoga she can find inner peace and balance in her life, if just for a short time and it’s helped her alot.
But things are about to change for Chloe in a big way. Demonic forces are plotting to take over New York City and Chloe gets caught in the middle of it all. Her father is actually one of the demons, but when her latent demon powers awakens she chooses to oppose the other demons and save the city. This is just the beginning of her journey from a fat and unpopular cosplayer to a great hero, but there are many obstacles on the way.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on November 7, 2025
Chloe’s life sucks in many ways, the choices she’s had to make aren’t the best by far. But the revelation that she is a succubus kind of explains a lot of things and starts her journey to discover her real self.
The work mainly is a series of sex scenes with the main character before and after being transformed into being a succubus which have little in the way of heat overall. The erotica itself is rather crass and abusive of her, there’s not much more than adult movie heat in the erotica. It tends to turn more hentai as the story goes on, but that doesn’t do anything to make the erotica any better.
As for the overall story, it tries to connect the sex scenes together and place Chloe on a path towards learning about herself and her kind. That is interesting, but tends to be scattered and lost for the most part which leaves a lot to be desired.
Chloe, the succubus of the work, is something of a stereotypical anime and hentai succubus with one thing on her mind. As such, it’s all about the sex for her and the development I wanted to see didn’t really come out all that well. There is some, but much of the time it’s accidental or happens as a result of another character just making an info dump and it didn’t work well for me.
One out of five pitchforks.
It’s really just one sex scene after the next for the most part and none of them are much more than adult movie levels of erotica. The overall story isn’t interesting as a result and there’s very little here that held me. We’ll have to see what the next work brings, but I have a feeling that it’s not going to be a lot better.
