Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on October 10, 2017

Sara finds herself drawn to an old haunted house and within creatures that await her arrival. Trapped and lost in their world, her fate reveals itself to be without end, the truth hidden in her desires.

The work is very much a horror story with some erotica on the edges of the story to create some heat for Sara and the creatures she encounters in the mansion. As such, the focus is in Sara’s experiences with the horrors she encounters, and eventually an encounter with what is best described as an incubus.

The incubus, who is never named, overall is stereotypically evil and focused on having his way with Sara above all else. The erotica in these scenes has some heat, but it wasn’t erotica overall. There’s a strong slasher movie tone to things and there’s just not a lot of emphasis on the incubus being erotic. The story really cares only to tell of the trials Sara has to face and then close on the bitter ending.

More of a work of horror than erotica really keeps being the point of the work. It’s an interesting story but the ending left me cold and wondering about everything the main character had been through. As a work of incubus erotica, there is some and it’s well done, but a bit more stereotypical than I’d have liked.

Three out of five pitchforks.

Something different as an incubus story, but not what I personally enjoy. it is well told horror and for those that enjoy those themes it’s an interesting option.
