Charlotte receives some advice from a witchy friend and decides what’s the harm in trying what they suggest. But all summonings are a gamble and one’s own desires are the game that incubi play.
The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, erotic hot flash which mostly consists of a single sex scene between the main character and the incubus of the work. It’s a bit rushed, there is some world building, but it’s sort of in passing to get the main character thrown into the tender mercies of the incubus of the story.
The erotica itself has adult movie tones, it’s very male dominated, and it’s that little bit over the top at times as well. Some of th narration of Charlotte’s needs as she succumbs to her desires is really well done and at other moments the heat sort of fades out because the story seems to not be sure what happens next.
The incubus of the work, Xarog. is something between being evil and just needing to dominate. His form is very demonic, the world he controls is as much so. While he can be thought of as an incubus, he’s something more f a sex focused demon rather than being a seducer of souls. It would have been interesting for him to appear at first as being more human, then transform into his demonic appearance to add a bit of mystery to things, it’s a shame that didn’t happen.

The story closes in a place where a follow on work could be connected, there is a witch in the story that could be part of that after all. It’s something of a start, there’s a little bit of story wrapped around a lot of sex. Perhaps more told about Xarog is what’s missing here and he, and his world, would have been interesting to explore.
