			Raven knows that there’s something odd about her, but no one really wants to help, they’d rather use her. But there is a limit to everything and when Raven meets hers there will be a price paid by everyone. Including Raven herself.

			The work is a an erotic fantasy mystery which tends to wander a bit as things unfold. There’s a lot of world building along the way which slides in directions that give hints about Raven but doesn’t really manage to get the story into the depths of why things are happening through the monologuing and lost paths the story takes.

			Raven, billed as the succubus of the work, really doesn’t appear very much as a succubus. That’s not to say there aren’t aspects of her character that could be. She’s something of a mimic than anything else and it sort of pulls her character in many directions without getting old on her character.

			The erotica reads in an adult movie sort of way, which is a bit of a shame. It’s rough around the edges and there are moments when it doesn’t quite fit into the story as well as it should. Perhaps getting more out of Raven’s relationships beyond the sex is what’s missing.

			The work really needs an editing pass as the dialogue sounds odd, the narration needs some expansion as well. It’s a bit too quick and short in what the story says and that takes much from what otherwise could have been something a lot more engrossing.

			Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

			There’s very little in the way of anything succubus-like in the story through Raven. though there are hints along the way. The ending is a bit abrupt and is something of a cliff hanger. It’s a shame that no further works have appeared to continue Raven’s story as there’s a lot to work with in the story overall.
