			Writing a story is never an easy thing, sometimes it takes inspiration to get things started. An encounter with a succubus leads an author to write a story which, when all is said and done, will be more than he could imagine it to be.

			The work is something between a work of erotica and horror with quite a lot of manipulation of the main character towards the climax and reveal of the story which the succubus Adrianna seeks. Very dark at times, there’s no light to be found in the story, nor really should it be expected. The darkness seeps into the main character and once the truth is revealed, it’s far too late.

			Adrianna, the succubus of the work, is very much a creature of evil. She’s seductive, manipulative, and seeks a goal through the actions of Joel and his writing. Ter’s not question of her evil nature from the moment she appears and it’s not at all a surprise when the events at the end of the work arrive and her price is paid.

			With that said, the mythos that Adrianna revels and appears as the story being written is something very textured and telling. It’s very much a story onto itself and honestly needed to be written as a story on its own for all that is offered.

			Three out of five pitchforks.

			The horror aspects of the work weren’t what interested me, the mythos created around the succubi in the story was far more interesting. It’s one of this author’s more telling tales, there’s a lot here to wonder about overall.

Joel Gheorghe is a famous novelist whose struggling to write his next big best seller.
